As you saw on Sunday, Ben and I spent the weekend up in wine country. While I had been to Napa and Sonoma before, I hadn’t fully explored all of the beautiful little towns in Napa, including the town of Yountville. While pairing up with IfOnly for an amazing private wine tasting experience (that supports charity) as an anniversary gift to each other, we took the opportunity to explore the stunning town of Yountville. Adorable houses with charming porches, tree lined streets, and unique shops with close proximity to wineries made me never want to leave! Don’t forget that Sweet Tea Sweetie readers can use the code SWEETTEA for $50 off unique experiences in the San Francisco, New York, or LA areas. Its good through June 30, 2016.
Right across the hall from the V Wine Cellar was a chocolatier that I couldn’t resist popping in to check out. The chocolates were absolutely gorgeous, almost too pretty to eat! They had unique flavors and beautiful colors! These would be perfect for a housewarming gift, or Mother’s Day, or maybe just because…
Weather in the high 80’s and low 90’s made gelato totally mandatory! Luckily Kollar Chocolates had a gelato bar calling our name. While nothing will be as good as when we were in Italy, the sweet, cool, and creamy cup was heaven in the warm sun.
The famous Bouchon restaurant from Chef Thomas Kellar had a line out the door from open to close. I had too much to see to wait in line, but I am dying to try their famous brunch items. I promise that I will make it back here and dedicate some time to it so that you guys can hear all about it!
We happened to visit Yountville during their Wine Walk Weekend. Artists had their booths set up on both sides of the street, right alongside the tables set up by wineries! Everyone seemed to enjoy soaking in the sun and walking around sampling sun and art. It was a beautiful weekend. I really admire the strong emphasis that Yountville places on art. Everywhere we went there was unique public art displays.
