Thank you so much for all of the lovely birthday wishes last month! I had the most amazing 30th birthday a girl could wish for! Celebrations started early when my brother and his wife came up for their spring break. Our birthdays are 3 days apart so we had fun sharing a chocolate confetti cake! Celebrations were followed by a family dinner where my mom made me my favorite dish: Hawaiian Meatballs (from scratch)! Yum! At work, I had 40 campers sing me happy birthday, my staff drenched me in silly string, my supervisor and coworkers turned my office into a balloon maze and wrapped my desk, I had a romantic dinner with my husband, and then a birthday party at Larson Winery in Sonoma. Seriously, a girl couldn’t feel more loved. I can’t thank my friends and family enough and all of my readers for the lovely well wishes!
In honor of my birthday, I wanted to share the fun party planning that was the inspiration for my Sonoma Winery Birthday Party! Larson Winery in Sonoma has an amazing facility with bocce ball, ladder ball, corn hole, and tons of picnic tables. We had a private tasting, tons of food, and played games all afternoon. They are dog and children friendly so you can even make it a family affair!

Caroline’s Caramel Cake
Have you heard of Caroline’s Cakes? If you haven’t I highly recommend them!! Caroline’s Cakes is primarily known for their traditional Southern 7 Layer Caramel Cake. The thin layers of creamy caramel just melt in your mouth. It’s so rich that just a small piece is satisfying….that is, if you can stop eating it! This is not sponsored by them, they are just that good. They can be shipped just about anywhere. In my family they are given as gifts. They also have tons of yummy pantry stuff like pimento cheese, Cheer Wine, and my favorite….Low Country Dip!
Most of my decorations were from Shop Sweet Lulu. They have the most adorable items there, including a collaboration with Kate Spade! The balloons ended up staying in the car because it was too breezy, but how cute are they?
What’s a party without good friends?
I was so honored that one of my friends flew up from Southern California to be there, two others drove down from Sacramento, and everyone else braved the traffic to escape to wine country for the day!
Thank you so much to everyone!
