Whether you are hosting family dinner on Sundays or a game night with friends on a Friday, offering up a Taco Bar dinner is a fun way to serve dinner that gets you out of the kitchen and out hanging out with people.
Must Have’s for a Great Taco Bar:
Sturdy Corn or Flour Tortillas (so that they don’t break & spill)
1 Dish of Mexican Casserole (easy to make ahead of time)
Plenty of Crunchy Cabbage & Cilantro (top with guac & a side of chips & you have a great vegetarian option)
Freshly Made Guacamole (don’t do store bought)
Chips (for any tidbits that sneak out of the tacos)
Start with a sturdy tortilla, add a big scoop of Mexican Casserole, top with crunchy cabbage & cilantro, then add a healthy dollop of guacamole. And there you go! You have a yummy, delicious taco! The crunchy cabbage & cilantro makes a great salad option for those watching their carbs. (Or at least saving carbs for margaritas!)
Make sure you remember the chips & guac! If you want to make it from scratch, check out my recipe for homemade California guacamole!
Assemble your spread for your guests to make their own tacos. There should be plenty of filling, crunchy greens, and guac. Friends will have fun stuffing their own tacos. That way they can put just the right amount of everything they want!
