This month I’m continuing the theme of getting healthy and detoxing after all of the decadent holiday treats. We started with Detox Tea and started our morning off with an Energy Bite, now I’m sharing my favorite smoothie concoction. Strawberry Kiwi Smoothies are one of my favorites. They send me back to Saturdays filled with playing soccer as a kid. We seemed to always have Strawberry Kiwi Capri Suns on hand for halftime. Did you know that we are in kiwi season right now? There is the most adorable U-Pick farm stand right on the coast called Swanton Berry Farm that opens their farm for picking kiwis! Unfortunately, due to the California drought there aren’t enough kiwi’s for their U-Pick to be open, but their farm stand always has tons of goodies (including yummy pies!). I start with a base of Greek yogurt to make sure I get some protein and dairy.

I’ll be honest, peeling kiwi’s is not my favorite thing. I seem to get the fuzz everywhere, but look at how gorgeous they are! That bright green color and sweet yet tangy taste totally make it worth the work! Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie | I always keep a bag of frozen organic strawberries in my freezer. Strawberries are so good for you and they can really sweeten up any flavor smoothie. It makes it easy to pull them out, toss them in with some greens and some protein powder, and I’m all set! Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie


  • 2 Cups of Frozen Strawberries
  • 2 Peeled & Diced Kiwis
  • 2 Cups of Washed Spinach
  • 1 Cup of Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Cup of Distilled Water


  1. Throw all ingredients into your blender.
  2. Always put the liquid items in first to help the blender swirl evenly.
  3. Pour into glasses or your travel mug.
  4. Garnish with a spare slice of kiwi and enjoy a yummy breakfast with no guilt!
