Today is National Girlfriend’s Day. In honor of that I am sharing the lovely photos of some of my best girlfriends from the morning of my wedding. These girls made the trek from California, across the country to Virginia so that I could get married in the church where 8 generations of women in my family have been married before me. We stayed at the stunning Clifton Inn in Charlottesville, Virginia in a lovely suite with a loft. The night before the wedding we slipped over to the cozy hotel library & bar for some girl scout themed martinis and a yummy cheese plate. It was so relaxing & so much fun to be together. I’m so grateful that we had that opportunity!

We lingered over breakfast in our room as the lovely ladies from Avenue 42 came to us for hair & makeup. They were a lot of fun to work with & made the morning feel so glamorous!

The girls got ready in button up shirts that were lace trimmed & embroidered by my mom!

The morning was all about little touches. As I added my family pearls to my outfit, I gifted my bridesmaids their own set of pearl earrings & pearl necklaces with long ivory bows.

The theme of little bows continued from necklace to shoes!

I can’t thank these lovely ladies enough for being by my side on such a special occasion and all that they did to support me. I am so grateful to have them in my life and feel so lucky to have had these cherished moments!

Friendship isn’t about who you’ve known the longest. It’s about who walked into your life, said “I’m here for you” and proved it.

How will you be celebrating your girlfriend’s tomorrow?
