School is starting up again! I may not be heading to school but how much fun is it to browse for school supplies? So many fun, neat little organizer things. I definitely need more pads of paper right? What are you guys making for breakfast these busy school mornings? I have been trying to incorporate smoothie bowls into my mornings. I am not a morning person at all so I need something that is filling & nutritious, but really the most important thing is that it is easy! Smoothie bowls are the best! They can be ready in 1 minute & are filled with tons of high vitamin fruits, calcium & good cultures from yogurt, plus topped with the right toppings, it can be full of whole grains & high in fiber! I top mine with Honey Bunches of Oats to give the bowl a sweet crunch. I love those little bunches! They give a nice crunch & touch of sweetness. Making my smoothie into a bowl topped with Strawberry Honey Bunches of Oats makes it so filling and satisfying. The added strawberries give it a whole other dimension of flavor & texture.
Start by assembling your ingredients: 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 cup frozen pineapple, 1 cup yogurt, 1 big scoop of vanilla protein powder, and a 1/4 cup of water.
When making a smoothie, always start with the wet ingredients (water and yogurt), then add in the protein powder, and top with frozen fruit.
Blend for about 30 seconds or until combined, but still nice & thick.
Now comes the fun part, load your smoothie bowl up with fantastic toppings! Honey Bunches of Oats cereal is such a great smoothie bowl topping. It’s a very complex cereal that comes together beautifully.
How pretty are these bowls? It totally makes it easier to wake up early when I know I have a delicious breakfast to enjoy. I’ve been incorporating morning workouts into my routine. I am slowly getting into the habit of waking up early. These bowls definitely make my mornings shine!
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1/4 cup water

- Put water and yogurt into the bottom of your blender.
- Add in the protein powder.
- Top with frozen fruit.
- Blend for 30 seconds or until ingredients are combined but smoothie is still thick.
- Pour into a bowl.
