Rum tasting, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, mud baths, cocoa growing and chocolate making, plus some stunning beach time. What more is there to experience on St. Lucia? Not one to be willing to walk away from a chance at adventure, I want to add one more adventure! The Errard Waterfall Trio Adventure took us on an open air jeep tour through the rain forest to zipline, then hike to a waterfall! It was pretty incredible! Being able to go from white sand beaches to mountain jungle in under an hour makes St. Lucia an adventure lovers paradise!
Our open air jeep picked us up at our hotel and drove us from the beachside into the rainforest for some ziplining! At the Treetop Adventure Park we geared up in harnesses and helmets (complete with sexy hairnets!).
At first we learned proper form….
Then once we got going, had a little fun!
The lines varied in height, length, and speed, but all of them were so much fun! I was ready to go again after our adventure!
In between the ziplines there were suspension bridges….
And jungle hikes!
Hairnets aside, it was so much fun! We really had a blast! Even on a relaxing vacation, you need to have a little adventure!
From the zipline adventure park, our open air jeep headed to a waterfall. This is us standing in the back of the jeep as it speeds through banana fields!
To reach the waterfall required a short hike down into a little valley with a beautiful blue pool! We immediately swam out to climb under the waterfall!
After hiking back up to the jeep, we were rewarded with freshly cut fruit and coconuts!
With the wind whipping through our hair we headed back through the jungle, on open freeway, and through small towns to our hotel. It was cool to get to see the transition from jungle to towns and back again with nothing blocking our view. I was soaking wet from our swim in the waterfall, but a quite ride in the jeep in that Caribbean air & I was good to go!
