Brown Sugar Chicken Thighs |

I don’t normally cook with chicken thighs. I tend to use chicken breasts 90% of the time. They always look so gorgeous in the store, but I think that I have been missing out. The chicken thigh is so much more flavorful and tender. I opted to use chicken thighs for this dish and I think the brown sugar and garlic really highlighted the rich flavor. Which camp do you fall into? Chicken breasts or thighs?

This is a super quick alternative to going out to eat! I rotate in my key easy dishes for weeknights including Parmesan Chicken, Garlic Roasted Veggies, Crockpot Chili, Panko Salmon, Caprese Chicken, and my favorite Taco Salad. Easy Garlic Chicken


  • 4 Chicken thighs
  • 1 Head of garlic
  • 4 Tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt & Pepper as needed


  1. Preheat oven to 450°.
  2. Dice garlic. You can use less than a head (as low as 4 cloves) but I love a stronger garlic so I went for the whole thing.
  3. Saute garlic on the stove top with the olive oil until tender.
  4. Add in brown sugar & a sprinkling of salt & pepper.
  5. Roll chicken thighs in the garlic mixture.
  6. Place breasts in a baking dish.
  7. Pour any remaining garlic and brown sugar mixture.
  8. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
